Boo-boo bags
Boo-boo bags are filled with rice and used for scraps, sprains, headaches, or sore muscles. They can be any size or shape but the primary shapes are easiest to sew.
Cut two squares of 6 inch cotton fabric. Using a 1/4 inch seam, sew right sides together to make a bag leaving a 1- 2 inch opening on one side to turn the bag. Stitch around a second time over the first stitching to reinforce the seam. Turn the bag right side out. Add rice until the bag is half full. Stitch the opening closed either by machine. I added a decorative edging to these but it is not necessary.
To use:
For cold, place in freezer for 30 minutes.
For heat, microwave on medium for no more than 45 seconds. Start out with smaller time increments they heat up quickly.
Use on sore spot.
Keep dry.
